Hon. Khalayi Peace stands with Bumwoni community in times of mourning

Hon. Khalayi Peace, the Woman Member of Parliament for Namisindwa District, today joined residents of Bumwoni Sub-county in mourning and celebrating the life of a respected elderly woman who passed away at the age of 78.

The legislator attended the burial ceremony alongside family members, local leaders, friends, and community residents who gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased, whose life was remembered for her dedication to family, community service, and the values that continue to shape society.

While addressing mourners, Hon. Khalayi Peace extended her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and urged the community to remain united during difficult moments. She emphasized the importance of caring for the elderly, preserving family bonds, and passing on cultural values to younger generations.

“The passing of our elders reminds us of the wisdom, guidance, and sacrifices they have made for our families and communities. We must honor their legacy by promoting unity, respect, hard work, and love among ourselves,” she said.
