Today, the Deputy Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), Brig Gen G.K. Muwanguzi, appeared on UBC TV for an insightful discussion on the impact of the Parish Development Model (PDM) in advancing Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.

During the interview, Brig Gen Muwanguzi emphasized that the Parish Development Model remains a key government strategy for uplifting households from subsistence to the money economy. He noted that through PDM, communities are being empowered with access to affordable financing, improved production methods, value addition opportunities, and market linkages aimed at increasing household incomes and creating sustainable wealth.

He encouraged beneficiaries to embrace enterprise development, accountability, and hard work in order to maximize the benefits of the program.
The discussion reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to ensuring that no Ugandan is left behind in the journey towards inclusive growth and prosperity.

“The Parish Development Model is not merely a government program; it is a pathway to transforming livelihoods, creating wealth, and building a prosperous Uganda from the parish level upwards.” – Brig Gen G.K. Muwanguzi.
