The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Headquarters in Kyambogo drew thousands of Ugandans gathered for the Mega Spiritual Revival for Fallen Warriors, a historic event dedicated to honouring the sacrifices of the country’s liberation heroes.
The well-attended gathering brought together religious leaders, politicians, UPDF veterans, patriotic citizens, and children of fallen warriors in a powerful show of gratitude to those who paid the ultimate price for Uganda’s peace, stability, and progress.
Representing President Yoweri Museveni, Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja applauded Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Manager of the Office of the National Chairman, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, for organizing what she described as a noble and timely initiative that reconnects the nation with the values of sacrifice, service, and patriotism.
The Prime Minister called upon the children of Uganda’s fallen heroes to remain united and take advantage of government empowerment and development programmes, noting that transformation begins when citizens work together to build on the foundation laid by the country’s liberators.
Speaking on behalf of the children of fallen warriors, Hon. Patricia Magara, daughter of the late Lt. Col. Sam Magara, and Hon. Ann Ruyondo, daughter of the late Afande Ruyondo and National Chairperson of the Women’s Council, pledged to strengthen unity among their peers and preserve the legacy of their parents through service, cooperation, and nation-building.
They emphasized the importance of standing together as one family and ensuring that the sacrifices made by liberation fighters continue to inspire future generations.
In her remarks, Hajjat Namyalo reaffirmed her commitment to making the national prayer revival an annual tradition dedicated to praying for Uganda, honouring fallen heroes, and guiding the younger generation towards responsible citizenship and patriotism.
She noted that while the nation celebrates the achievements of its liberation struggle, there is a continued need for spiritual reflection, unity, and collective responsibility to safeguard the future for generations to come.
The successful revival sent a clear message that the legacy of Uganda’s fallen heroes remains alive and relevant. Their sacrifice continues to inspire a nation determined to uphold the values they fought for—unity, peace, resilience, and national development.
As prayers were offered and tributes paid, the gathering stood as a powerful reminder that a nation that remembers its heroes not only honours its past but also strengthens its future.
