The Bugisu Cultural Institution has issued a stern warning against defiance of lawful authority, announcing that Elder Mayatsa Joram, Elder Wodero, Elder Nabutele, Mrs. Wakane, and Mrs. Mushikor will be compelled to appear before the court after allegedly ignoring official administrative directives.
The revelation was made by the institution’s spokesperson, Steven Masiga, who said the affected individuals have repeatedly failed to honor summonses and comply with established procedures despite being accorded sufficient opportunity to do so.
Masiga emphasized that respect for lawful administrative orders is a cornerstone of discipline, accountability, and justice within the cultural institution. He warned that deliberate disregard of such directives amounts to insubordination and undermines the authority entrusted with preserving order and unity among the Bamasaba people.
“The institution cannot tolerate a situation where individuals openly disregard lawful directives and expect to escape accountability. Leadership without respect for order breeds chaos, and chaos has no place in our cultural institution,” Masiga stated.
According to the spokesperson, the decision to enforce the appearance of the concerned individuals demonstrates the institution’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the integrity of its governance structures.
He further warned that disrespecting administrative orders attracts the highest disciplinary punishments under the institution’s regulations and urged all subjects to respect established channels of communication and conflict resolution.
Masiga stressed that the action is not intended to target individuals but rather to safeguard the values of responsibility, respect, and obedience to lawful authority that have guided the institution for generations.
“The message is clear: no person is above the law, and no one will be allowed to undermine the authority of the institution. Respect for lawful orders is not a choice—it is an obligation. Those who defy administrative directives must be prepared to face the consequences,” he said.
The Bugisu Cultural Institution has reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, justice, accountability, and the preservation of cultural values, while calling upon all its subjects to respect leadership structures and contribute to unity and harmony within the community.
