The countdown has begun as Mbale City Mega Festival First Edition officially launched its final preparations through a successful press conference ahead of the much-anticipated event scheduled for Saturday, 25th July, at Mbale Secondary School Grounds. Sponsored by Tamasha Bar and Lounge Bugema and supported by several partners, the festival is poised to become one of the biggest entertainment spectacles ever witnessed in Eastern Uganda.

Addressing the media, Elgon Region Police Spokesperson Afande Rogers Taitika assured the public that security agencies are fully prepared to guarantee a peaceful and secure event. He emphasized that adequate deployment plans have been put in place to protect lives and property throughout the festival.
Afande Taitika also urged organizers to remain faithful to their advertisements by ensuring that all artists promoted for the event perform as scheduled. He noted that fulfilling promises made to fans is critical in maintaining trust and preventing unnecessary disruptions. He further called upon members of the public to cooperate with security personnel, observe all guidelines, and maintain law and order.

Mbale DPC Afande Okyaya Kennedy welcomed the festival initiative and echoed the importance of ensuring that all booked artists appear, saying proper coordination is essential for a successful and chaos-free event.

Renowned entertainer MC Ibra Musosi described the festival as a groundbreaking moment for Mbale City, expressing excitement about what he believes will be a historic gathering. He called upon residents from across the region to seize the opportunity and be part of an event that promises unforgettable memories.

Speaking on behalf of the organizers, Jeff Situma assured fans that all preparations have been finalized and that the event will be professionally managed by Mbale’s creative industry. He noted that the festival is designed not only to entertain but also to celebrate local talent and promote the city’s growing entertainment sector.

The festival will feature a full day of activities beginning with a football match at 11:00 a.m., followed by family-friendly entertainment, including a dedicated children’s section. Entry for children will be UGX 5,000, while early bird tickets are available at UGX 7,000 until tomorrow. VIP tickets are priced at UGX 20,000, with tables ranging from UGX 300,000 to UGX 1 million. Organizers have also arranged ample and secure parking space for attendees.
Music lovers are expected to enjoy performances from some of Uganda’s biggest stars, including King Saha, Spice Diana, Vyroota, and Suuna Ben, alongside Mbale’s finest talents such as Papa Love, Cool Mozey, DJ Nasser, and many other artists determined to showcase the best of Eastern Uganda’s entertainment scene.
Representing Pepsi, one of the festival sponsors, Elly Opio thanked the public for their continued support and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting community initiatives and nurturing talent whenever opportunities arise. He emphasized that empowering creatives remains a key pillar in building stronger communities.
