“Faith in Action: Hajji Abdallah Diffe’s Mawlid Celebration Sparks Unity, Hope and Support for Education in Sironko”

SIRONKO DISTRICT – The spirit of faith, unity and community service was on full display at Mujuni Mosque as Hajji Abdallah Diffe joined the Muslim fraternity in commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during a grand Mawlid celebration that attracted religious leaders, community members and believers from across the district.

The function, spearheaded by Hajji Abdallah Diffe the NRM Chairman SironkoT/C, served as a moment of spiritual reflection and a call to action for Muslims to embrace the values of love, peace, unity and service to humanity as taught by the Prophet.

Addressing the congregation, Hajji Diffe urged Muslims to remain united and work together for the development of their communities.

“The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us the values of brotherhood, compassion and unity. Today, I call upon all Muslims to stand together, support one another and contribute towards the development of our communities. When we are united, there is nothing we cannot achieve,” Hajji Diffe said.

He emphasized the importance of education as a foundation for progress and called us all to contribute towards the construction and development of Mujuni Primary School, earning applause from the congregation.

Sheik Muhammad Wandega, the Eastern Uganda District Kadhi, who delivered a powerful message on togetherness and harmony among Muslims.

“Islam encourages unity and discourages division. Let us put aside our differences and work together as one Ummah. Our strength lies in our ability to love, respect and support one another. We must also invest in educating our children and guiding them on the path of righteousness,” Sheikh Wandega said.

He further encouraged believers to uphold moral values, promote peace and actively participate in community development initiatives.

The gathering was also honored by the presence of Sheikh Muhammad Weiswa, the First Deputy Mufti of Uganda, who represented the Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje.

Delivering the Mufti’s message, Sheikh Weiswa commended the Muslim community of Sironko for organizing a successful Mawlid celebration and urged Muslims to emulate the character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through honesty, discipline, humility and service.

“The true celebration of Mawlid is not only in gathering together but in living according to the teachings of the Prophet. Let us become ambassadors of peace, champions of education and promoters of national development. A faithful believer should be a source of hope and positive change in society,” Sheikh Weiswa said.

He conveyed warm greetings from Mufti Mubajje and encouraged Muslims to remain united under the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council while supporting programs that improve the welfare of communities.

He also pledged to contribute 1M towards the construction of Mujuni P/S and appealed to the parents to ensure that they train their children Qur’an and Muslims teaching hence growing up well disciplined for their own good

The celebrations concluded with special prayers for peace, prosperity, and continued unity in Sironko District and Uganda as a whole.
