The Leader of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has announced a major reorganization within the movement, appointing Hon. Fadil Twalla as the new Secretary General, replacing Hon. Daudi Kabanda.
In a tweet released on Monday, General Muhoozi thanked Kabanda for his dedicated service as the pioneer Secretary General, describing his three-year tenure as one that set a high standard for the position. He pledged to work closely with Twalla in advancing the objectives and vision of PLU.
Hon. Kabanda expressed gratitude to the PLU Chairman for the opportunity to serve and congratulated his successor, emphasizing that the movement’s mission goes beyond positions and remains focused on its values and goals. He will continue serving as a member of the Central Committee.
The changes also saw the appointment of Rt. Hon. Oboth Oboth and Rt. Hon. Tayebwa as members of the Central Committee and special envoys to Parliament, alongside other prominent leaders, signaling a renewed drive to strengthen PLU’s national mobilization and organizational structure.
