TORORO DISTRICT, July 25, 2026 — Sironko District Woman MP Hon. Asha Mafabi Nabulo reaffirmed her commitment to servant leadership, unity and community transformation as she joined Rt. Hon. Oboth Markson, fellow leaders and hundreds of well-wishers at the thanksgiving celebration of Hon. Owere Richard Machika, the Member of Parliament for West Budama North East Constituency.
The occasion, organized to thank God and the people of West Budama North East for the trust they placed in Hon. Machika, became a powerful platform for leaders to reflect on the values that drive meaningful development and national progress.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Nabulo congratulated Hon. Owere on his election and applauded the people of the constituency for choosing a leader dedicated to serving communities and improving lives. She praised his efforts in strengthening healthcare services, supporting education and empowering women, describing these as investments that create lasting change and uplift entire communities.
She particularly recognized Hon. Machika’s contribution to healthcare, including the provision of ambulances that have improved emergency response and expanded access to medical services for many families. She noted that leaders who prioritize the welfare of the people leave behind a legacy that extends far beyond political office.
She further emphasized that empowering women and educating young people remain among the most effective ways to fight poverty and build a prosperous society. According to her, communities thrive when women are given opportunities to succeed and when young people are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to shape their future.

Rt. Hon. Oboth Markson echoed similar sentiments, calling on Ugandans to unite in the fight against poverty and support efforts aimed at improving household incomes and transforming communities.
