The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has urged students of Namagabi Secondary School in Kayunga District to safeguard their future by avoiding reckless behaviour and embracing discipline, patience and perseverance.

She made the call while presiding over the school’s old students’ reunion as Chief Guest. She was received at the school by the administration, led by the Headteacher.
Addressing the learners, Hajjat Namyalo emphasised the importance of self-discipline, responsible decision-making and protecting their potential as they prepare for adulthood.

“What is inside you is precious, guard it well. Be patient and persevere,” she told the students, urging them to remain focused on their education and personal development.
She further encouraged students to participate actively in co-curricular activities, noting that education should extend beyond classroom learning to equip young people with the skills and talents needed to navigate the wider world.

“Give these activities your time. School is supposed to train versatile humans to prepare them for the world. Develop your talent in them,” she said.
During the reunion, Namyalo also highlighted the achievements of some of the school’s distinguished alumni, including former students who have acquired prominent properties in Kampala and established themselves in the business community.
Their accomplishments provided an opportunity to inspire current learners to recognise their potential, nurture their talents and work towards achieving their ambitions.
The reunion brought together former students and members of the Namagabi Secondary School community to celebrate the institution’s legacy, strengthen alumni connections and motivate the next generation to pursue academic and personal excellence.
As part of the celebrations, football, netball and volleyball matches were organised between current students and alumni, adding a sporting dimension to the event while promoting interaction and unity across generations.
