A remarkable spirit of discipline and patriotism filled Mbale High School as 840 students successfully passed out after completing an intensive one-week patriotism training—an achievement that has positioned the school as a beacon of national values under the determined leadership of Headteacher Wambalo Stephen.

The ceremony was presided over by Brig. Gen. Justus Rukundo, who emphasized the need for self-defense and preparedness in today’s uncertain world, pointing to global tensions such as those involving Iran and United States. He applauded the students’ resilience and officially passed out all 840, declaring them ready to serve Uganda with discipline and courage.

The success of the program was strongly linked to the dedication of Hellen Seku, whose efforts have ensured patriotism training reaches across the nation. Represented by Richard Waruhanga, it was revealed that more than seven trainings are conducted weekly countrywide, with certificates awarded immediately—now an important requirement for public service.

The initiative, championed by Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, continues to instill strong values among the youth. Students were urged to avoid alcohol abuse, abstain from early sexual activity, remain faithful in marriage, and uphold discipline, integrity, patience, and love for country.

Deputy RCC Northern – Were Yahaya
“Today you have become symbols of discipline and unity. Let this training guide your path and remind you that Uganda depends on young people like you to protect and build its future.”

Deputy RCC Industrial –Mr. Banja Hamuza
“You are now ambassadors of patriotism. Carry these values wherever you go—be focused, responsible, and always stand for what is right for your country.”

Former RCC Mbale – Pamela Watuwa
“This is a proud moment for Mbale and Uganda at large. Let this achievement inspire you to lead with integrity and serve your nation with dedication.”

In his remarks, H/M Wambalo Stephen extended gratitude to the national trainers, patriotism leadership, and the chief guest for their continued support. He also commended his students for enduring the challenges of training and successfully reaching this milestone, proving that Mbale High is committed to shaping responsible citizens.

With authority vested in him, Brig. Gen. Rukundo declared the 840 students fully trained patriots—marking not just a pass-out, but the rise of a generation ready to stand firm for Uganda
