Hon. Khalayi Peace Engages Residents of Mukhuyu Sub-County, Pledges Focus on Long-Standing Community Challenges

Hon. Khalayi Peace today conducted a community engagement campaign trail across hard-to-reach areas of Mukhuyu Sub-County in Namisindwa District, meeting residents door-to-door as part of her ongoing outreach program. She thanked community members for their support in the recently concluded party primaries and emphasized the need for unity as the district prepares for the upcoming elections.

During the interactions, she highlighted her priorities, saying her agenda is centered on development and addressing the concerns that have affected residents for years. She noted that many of the issues raised—such as poor roads, water scarcity, and inadequate schools and health facilities—require sustained commitment and coordinated effort.

She also urged the public to remain focused on development conversations rather than personal rumours circulating during the campaign season.

Residents who attended the activities expressed disappointment over service delivery gaps they attributed to past leadership. Many said they appreciated the engagement and used the opportunity to present key concerns affecting their communities.

The community members expressed optimism that improved representation could help drive infrastructure improvement and better social services across the sub-county.

She concluded the day by encouraging continuous dialogue with residents, saying she looks forward to collaborating with them to ensure development priorities of Namisindwa remain at the centre of leadership discussions.
