Nabitsikhi Sub County, Namisindwa β Hon. Khalayi Peace on Monday continued her Parish-to-Parish campaign program, spending the day engaging residents of Nabitsikhi Sub County. She visited Buluswala, Buzesili, Luwero and other neighboring areas, where she interacted with community members and local opinion leaders.

During the visits, several residents reportedly pledged support after what they described as βa shared vision toward the development of Namisindwa.β Community members raised a number of concerns including water shortages, lack of electricity in some parishes, long distances to school that have exposed young girls to early marriage, inadequate health facilities especially for expectant mothers, and poor road networks which make mobility and access to services difficult.

Some residents acknowledged her earlier victory in the party primaries, saying that despite what they called heavy political pressure during that period, she still managed to triumph, adding that the current phase seemed easier because many of them identify as committed party members. Others advised her not to repeat what they termed the mistakes of her predecessor, whom they accused of abandoning the community after being elected.

In her remarks, Hon. Peace thanked the people of Nabitsikhi for supporting her in the primaries and pledged to address the issues raised. She stated that if elected, she would begin engaging relevant authorities even before swearing-in, saying she already understands the terrain and the needs of the district.

She also dismissed what she called personal attacks relating to her marital status and age, emphasizing that her focus at the moment is on service delivery and lifting Namisindwa to national visibility. She encouraged political rivals to embrace unity and teamwork, stressing that βthere is life after politics.β

Hon. Peace concluded by appreciating her supporters and urged residents to turn up in large numbers on January 15th and participate peacefully in the voting process.
