Bubutu Town Council, Namisindwa District — Hon. Khalayi Peace today continued her district-wide campaign trail with a highly engaging and warmly attended meeting in Bubutu Town Council. Residents turned out in large numbers, receiving her with enthusiasm and expressing confidence in her message and leadership.
During the event, several individuals formerly aligned with Dr. Sarah’s camp officially announced their decision to join Hon. Peace’s team. Speaking through Bubutu Coordinator Namikasa Job, the new converts stated that they had “been lost but are now found,” committing to support Hon. Peace moving forward.
Chairperson Women’s League Junic Matuka welcomed Hon. Peace to Bubutu and encouraged the people of Namisindwa to continue supporting leaders who prioritize effective service delivery.
NRM District Registrar Mr. Wepukhulu Richard also addressed the gathering, noting that political competition should be faced openly and fairly. He emphasized that once outcomes are clear, communities should unite and focus on development.
NRM District Chairperson Mr. Allamazani Wabulo urged voters to support the party’s flag bearers at all levels, stating that aligned leadership from national to grassroots levels enhances opportunities for development within the district.
Mr. Simiyu Sam expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support shown to Hon. Peace, assuring residents that he would continue guiding and supporting efforts to ensure improved service delivery.
In her remarks, Hon. Khalayi Peace thanked the people of Bubutu for the energy and trust they demonstrated during the NRM primaries. She encouraged them to maintain the same unity and resolve as the election approaches. She reaffirmed her commitment to stand with the community in all situations—both in joy and in challenges.
She highlighted priority areas she intends to advocate for, including improved health services, better road infrastructure, education enhancement, and entrepreneurship opportunities aimed at uplifting households.
She concluded by requesting the continued support of Bubutu residents in the forthcoming elections on 15th January, noting that collective effort is essential for the development of Namisindwa District.
