Onc’s Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo meets Mbale garage people: pledges to make follow-up of the unfulfilled promises

The Senior Presidential Advisor and Personal Assistant to the National Chairman (SPA/PA–ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, today paid a courtesy visit to Mbale Garage, where she held an open dialogue with youth working in the garage sector to understand their pressing challenges and concerns.

During the engagement, the garage youth expressed deep frustration over what they described as unfulfilled presidential pledges dating as far back as several years ago.

“As garages in Mbale, we have benefited nothing from President Museveni’s 40-year rule,” one of the garage youth emotionally told Hajjat Namyalo.

“President Museveni promised us toolboxes, financial support, and other assistance, but none of these pledges have ever been fulfilled,” another youth representative added.

Responding to their concerns, Hajjat Namyalo acknowledged their grievances and assured them that she had personally raised similar issues before the President.

“I personally requested the President to have your pledge of the land at Kumi Road fulfilled. You heard me clearly during the symposium,” Hajjat Namyalo reminded the group.

She further emphasized the importance of unity and continued engagement with the government to ensure that the pledges reach their intended beneficiaries

“We might have different political views, but President Museveni remains the right person to deliver on our pledges. Let us stand together and support him as we track what rightfully belongs to us,” she urged.

Hajjat Namyalo also noted that there might be administrative blockages within the system that have delayed the implementation of these pledges, pledging to personally follow up on the matter to ensure the garage youth benefit as promised.

“I am sure President Museveni approved these pledges, but somewhere in the system there is a blockage. I pledge to trace and ensure that the benefits reach you,” she assured them.

She concluded by reaffirming her commitment to deliver their concerns directly to President Museveni and called on the garage youth to remain patient, united, and focused as they continue to push for what is rightfully theirs.

“This is the right time to demand what was promised. Let’s continue to support President Museveni as we protect the gains we have already achieved,” Hajjat Namyalo conclude
